The name of my blog, Tectonic Movement, explains a lot about me and my thoughts on life. Firstly, the name represents two of my passions and their interconnectedness. Geography and dance both require spatial awareness and a kinesthetic sense of place. Secondly, the image of tectonic plates slowly and constantly moving is a metaphor for life - if the plates stopped moving, the planet would become a water world and life on Earth would cease to exist. This is also true of people; if we do not grow and change into better people, emotionally and cognitively we will cease to exist. This blog is my geologic journey.
The picture you see as the wallpaper is a photo I took at Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland. It is simply the most beautiful place I've ever been, geographically and spiritually. Going there was a dream come true for me. This image, which lives in a frame in my home, inspires me to follow my dreams and to never stop moving forward.
Through writing and sharing I am seeking to find truth and authenticity in my life. I want to learn from my life and live a more beautiful and happy one. I am learning wildly and feel fortunate to be getting older. The mind and the heart are getting stronger with every passing minute.
